Free weekend bootcamps
Each bootcamp is one weekend on one topic: for example, mock strategy, Quantitative Techniques for students who fear maths, or reading Legal Reasoning passages faster. They are live, free and open to anyone, whether or not you are enrolled in anything.
Bootcamp topics and dates are announced as they are scheduled. Register once and we will tell you about each one.
Free counselling help after the results
Getting a rank is only half the process. CLAT counselling runs in rounds, and the choices you make, which NLUs to list, in what order, whether to accept, upgrade or withdraw, affect where you end up as much as your score does.
After the CLAT results we run free counselling help for everyone: reading the previous years’ closing ranks, ordering your NLU preferences, and what to do in each round. It is open to anyone who sat CLAT, not only our students.
Before then, the CLAT 2027 counselling guide, the college predictor and the cut-off pages explain how it works.
Free practice and tools on the site
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Diagnostic test | A section-by-section read of where you stand, scored straight away. |
| Daily practice | Questions across all five sections, updated regularly. |
| Legal updates | Judgments, amendments and notifications, explained for CLAT. |
| Previous-year papers guide | How the paper has changed since 2017, where to get the official papers, and how to use them. |
| Resource library | Study plans, checklists and reading lists. |
| Am I on track? | The gap between your current score and your target NLU. |
| Score calculator | Work out a score with negative marking. |
| Rank predictor | An estimate of rank from a score. |
A free account adds a sample mock, a sample sectional and sample notes and flashcards.
Can you prepare for CLAT for free?
Yes. Most of what CLAT tests can be learned from free material. What costs money is usually structure, feedback and volume of practice, not the content itself. A free plan that works looks like this:
- 01DiagnoseTake the free diagnostic to find your weakest sections.
- 02Build the daily habitRead one editorial and follow the legal updates every day; do the daily practice questions.
- 03Learn each section’s methodUse the section guides on the blog, then practise that section on the site.
- 04Use past papers as mocksThe Consortium sells the official previous-year papers. Sit them in full, under time, and review every error.
- 05Join the bootcampsUse them for the topics you find hardest.
The limit of a free plan is usually the number of full-length mocks and the feedback on them. If you reach that point, the online test series is the lowest-cost next step. For more, see Can you pass CLAT without coaching?

Frequently asked questions
Is CLATcoach free coaching really free?
Yes. The bootcamps, diagnostic, daily practice, legal updates, planning tools and counselling help are free, with no card required.
What are the free weekend bootcamps?
Live sessions over one weekend on a single topic, such as mock strategy or Quantitative Techniques. They are open to anyone. Register once to hear about each one.
Who can use the free counselling help?
Anyone who sat CLAT, whether or not they studied with CLATcoach. It runs after the results are declared.
Is there a free CLAT mock test?
Yes. The free diagnostic test gives a section-wise score, and a free account includes a sample full mock and a sample sectional.
Can I crack CLAT without paid coaching?
It is possible. What free preparation usually lacks is volume of full mocks and feedback on them; the lowest-cost way to add those is a test series.
