Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using CLATcoach, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, stop using the platform. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Iura, which operates CLATcoach. If you are under 18, section 3A also applies to you.
2. Services
CLATcoach provides online CLAT coaching. What is on offer today:
- Free tier. The Play quizzes and daily games, one full mock, one previous-year paper for each exam, twelve Legal GK Library headings, a sample Vocab deck, ten Review cards a day, the National Mock, and the public blog and resources.
- Plus and Pro. One-time passes that last until 23:59 IST on 31 December 2027, to cover CLAT 2028. Plus gives drills, sectionals, previous-year papers, the Legal GK Library, Vocab, the Weekly CA Quiz and its archive, practice reports and additional full mocks. Pro adds every full mock with analytics, RSVP places in live mock-solving sessions (limited to 30 students a session) and their recordings, a personal study plan, and written doubt-clearing: doubts sent by email to hey@clatcoach.com are answered within one working day. A Plus holder may upgrade to Pro for the difference in price, to the same end date.
- Basic and Premium plans bought before these passes. The earlier 6- and 12-month plans are no longer sold. Any bought earlier continue to their end date with the access they were sold with; Basic corresponds to Plus and Premium to Pro.
- Crucible. An eight-week programme from Tuesday 6 October to Sunday 29 November 2026: 24 full-length mocks and 32 live sessions of two hours each (64 hours of live teaching), on the weekly timetable published on the Crucible page. Dashboard access runs to 10 December 2026. Crucible has 50 seats. Late enrolment, from the 6 October start, is open until 23:59:59 IST on 10 October 2026 while seats remain.
- Crucible Mock Series. The same 24 full-length mocks as Crucible, without live sessions. On sale until 22 November 2026, with dashboard access to 10 December 2026 for every buyer.
- CLAT UG Complete Programme. Announced for April 2027, preparing for CLAT 2028: one cohort of 100 students taught in 4 batches of 25. Registration of interest is open. No payment is collected yet, and no seat exists until section 3B is satisfied.
- NLSAT Programme. Announced. You may register interest for 2027. No payment is collected at this stage.
We may add, change or withdraw features as the platform develops. Where a change affects something you have already paid for, section 10 applies.
The Bahali Award is open only to full-batch Complete Programme students and is decided under the conditions on the scholarship page, which are subject to these Terms. Crucible, the Crucible Mock Series, Plus, Pro, Basic, Premium and the free tier are not eligible.
3. Account, Enrolment and Access
- Plans are sold as one-time passes for a fixed duration or period. They are not recurring subscriptions and you are never auto-charged after the first payment.
- New accounts receive a 7-day Plus trial at no charge. When it ends, your access returns to the Free tier unless you have bought a plan. Nothing is paid for the trial, so nothing is refundable; the Refund Policy applies to any plan you then buy.
- Access begins when payment is confirmed. Plus and Pro end on 31 December 2027 whenever you buy them; Crucible and the Mock Series end on 10 December 2026. A 6- or 12-month plan bought earlier lasts for the period bought.
- Each account is for one person. Sharing credentials, transferring access or reselling content is prohibited and may end your access without refund.
3A. Minors and guardian acceptance
Most CLATcoach students are 16 or 17. A person under 18 cannot rely on these Terms alone. Before a minor can make a paid enrolment, a parent or legal guardian must accept on the minor’s behalf, using the confirmation link we email to the address given at sign-up. By accepting, the parent or guardian:
- accepts these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy for the minor’s enrolment;
- confirms that they are the minor’s parent or lawful guardian and are an adult;
- agrees to supervise the minor’s use of the platform, including live sessions; and
- gives verifiable consent to processing of the minor’s personal data as the Privacy Policy describes.
Until that acceptance is recorded, a minor’s account can use free content only and cannot buy a plan. A parent or guardian may withdraw consent by writing to clat@iura.in; withdrawal ends the minor’s paid access, and refunds follow the Refund Policy.
3B. Enrolment and seat confirmation
- Registering interest or applying does not give you a seat. A seat is confirmed only when your payment is successfully captured by Razorpay and your access is switched on. You will receive an email confirming it.
- Complete Programme. The cohort is capped at 100 students, taught in 4 batches of 25. The cap is hard and is enforced at payment, in the order payments are completed. When it is reached, enrolment closes; there is no special batch. The cap is separate from Crucible.
- Crucible is capped at 50 seats, confirmed in the order payments are completed. Enrolment closes at 23:59:59 IST on 10 October 2026, or earlier when the cap is reached. You can enrol after the course starts on 6 October (late enrolment) while seats remain; the refund window for a late enrolment is set out in the Refund Policy.
- The Crucible price depends on when you pay, as set out on the Crucible page; the amount is fixed by our server at the moment of payment.
- Batch allocation within the Complete Programme is decided by us.
3C. Account security
- Keep your password confidential and use a password you do not use elsewhere.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at hey@clatcoach.com as soon as you suspect it has been used without your permission.
- We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is compromised, shared or used in breach of these Terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
4. Payments
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card or UPI details on our servers.
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and are the amount you pay at checkout.
- No automatic renewal. When your plan ends, access to paid features ends. Continuing requires a new purchase.
- We may change prices. A change never affects a plan you have already bought.
- Refunds follow the Refund Policy, which sets out a separate rule for each offer.
4A. Discount and Promotional Codes
- Codes are non-transferable and may be limited by period, number of uses or plan. Limits are enforced at checkout.
- Codes cannot be combined or applied to past purchases.
- A refund on a discounted purchase is calculated on the amount actually paid.
4B. Live Sessions
- Live sessions are available to those whose plan includes them: Crucible, Pro (and Premium bought earlier) and, when it opens, the Complete Programme. Capacity is limited: Pro sessions to 30 students, and Complete Programme classes to a batch of 25.
- Pro places are RSVP-based and first come, first served, with a waitlist. The join link appears on the session page shortly before the start.
- Conduct. Be respectful. Do not disrupt the session, share the join link, record or capture the session yourself, or post another person’s personal details. The host may mute, remove or bar a participant who breaks these rules, without refund.
- Recording and your consent. We may record live sessions, including audio, video where switched on, chat and questions you ask, so that enrolled students can review them and so that we can improve teaching. By joining a live session you consent to being recorded. If you do not want to be recorded, do not join live. You can keep your camera and microphone off and ask questions in the chat, but the chat is recorded too. For a minor, the parent or guardian’s acceptance under section 3A includes this consent. Retention of recordings is set out in the Privacy Policy.
- Recordings are made available at our discretion and are not guaranteed for every session.
- If a session is rescheduled we will tell enrolled students by email and on the dashboard.
4C. Community forum
- Rules. Post only what you are entitled to post. No harassment, hate speech, sexual content, spam, advertising, exam leaks or copyrighted material you do not own, and no personal details of anyone else. Be accurate about what you know.
- Your content and our licence. You keep ownership of what you post. You give Iura a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and use your posts inside CLATcoach to run the forum and improve the service. The licence ends when you delete a post, except for copies in backups and in replies that quote it.
- Moderation. We may remove or hide content, and suspend a poster, when it breaks these rules or the law. Moderators’ decisions are made in good faith and you may ask for a review by writing to the grievance officer in section 11.
- Takedown. To report content, or to ask for removal of content that infringes your rights, write to clat@iura.in with a link to the post and the reason. We will review it promptly and tell you what we decided.
5. Intellectual Property
- The content on CLATcoach, including text, questions, mocks, analytics tools, design and code, belongs to Iura or its licensors.
- You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own personal study while your access lasts.
- You may not copy, share, sell, adapt or exploit it, or use it to train another product, without our written permission.
- Recordings of live sessions are our content and are covered by this section.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Sharing account credentials.
- Scraping, copying or redistributing content.
- Using automated tools to access the platform.
- Trying to reverse-engineer mocks, question banks or scoring.
- Harassing other students or staff.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the platform or another person’s account.
7. Limitation of Liability
- CLATcoach gives you teaching and preparation tools. We do not guarantee any mark, rank, score improvement or admission to any NLU, and nothing on the site should be read as such a promise.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law.
- Subject to that, our total liability to you for a claim about a programme is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
- We are not liable for interruptions caused by things beyond our reasonable control, including failures of internet, power, payment or third-party services.
8. Dispute Resolution
- Write to the grievance officer first (section 11). We will try to resolve the matter in good faith.
- A dispute that is not resolved goes to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator.
- The seat of arbitration is New Delhi. Hearings ordinarily take place at Dwarka, New Delhi. Proceedings are in English.
- The courts at Delhi have exclusive supervisory jurisdiction over the arbitration.
- Your statutory remedies are preserved. Nothing in this section stops you from approaching a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or any other forum you are entitled by law to approach as a consumer, and this section is to be read so that it does not take that right away.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in New Delhi and conducted in English, with the courts at Delhi holding exclusive supervisory jurisdiction; statutory consumer remedies are preserved. See our Terms of Service, §§8–9.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms. We will give you reasonable notice of a material change by email and on the dashboard before it takes effect, and we will show the date of the current version at the top. A change does not reduce what you have already paid for. If you keep using CLATcoach after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept, stop using the platform.
