Preparation Countdown

With the exam on 6 December 2026, here is what to focus on, when to intensify and when to ease off.

3 Months Out (September 2026)Section-wise Deep Work

Shift from general reading to targeted section practice. Attempt full-length mock tests regularly and analyse every one: identify the question types you consistently miss and drill them. Legal Reasoning practice should be passage-based, and Quantitative Techniques practice should focus on interpreting numerical information quickly.

1 Month Out (November 2026)Mock Test Intensive

Attempt full-length mocks under timed conditions. The paper is 120 questions in 2 hours, so plan how you allocate time across sections and how you handle negative marking. Review current affairs of the past several months.

2 Weeks OutRevision & Strategy Lock

Stop learning new material. Revise your current affairs notes and frequently tested principles. Spend more time on analysing mocks than on taking them. Finalise your exam-day strategy: section order, time per section, and when to skip. Download your admit card as soon as it is released and verify the details.

1 Week OutLight Revision Only

Reduce study hours and read your consolidated notes. Take one last mock a few days before the exam. Focus on sleep and a calm routine, and confirm the location and route of your centre.

Exam DayExecution

Eat a light, familiar meal and reach the centre in good time, following the reporting time on your admit card. Carry what the admit card and Consortium instructions tell you to carry. Read the instructions on the question paper before you begin, stick to your section-order strategy, and do not sink time into a single question.

Exam Day Checklist

CLAT 2027 is an offline exam. Use this checklist the night before and the morning of the exam, and follow the instructions on your admit card.

04Read the instructions printed on the question booklet before you begin
05Follow the Consortium list of permitted and prohibited items (being verified: read the test-day instructions when published)
06Check the dress-code or other rules on the admit card
