CLAT 2027 · Final month
CLAT 2027: the last 30 days, week by week
A study plan is only as good as the baseline underneath it. The free Diagnostic Test is 30 questions in 30 minutes, six from each CLAT section: half an hour gives you a score for each one.

The shape of the month
CLAT 2027 is on Sunday, 6 December 2026, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm IST (PwD candidates: 2:00 pm – 4:40 pm). This page splits the month before it into four parts. The first two find and fix what is costing you marks. The third builds the timing you will use on the day. The last few days are for rest and the admit card, not new topics.
One rule runs through all of it: a mock you do not analyse is a wasted mock. Give every full paper about as long again for review as it took to sit: two hours on the paper, then about two hours on the error log.
Until 15 November: find the leak
Sit one full-length paper under exam conditions: two hours, one sitting, no phone. Then sort every wrong or skipped question into one of five reasons: misread the passage, misapplied the principle, ran out of time, careless slip, or did not know it.
Whichever reason and section cost you most is your work for the next fortnight. Often it turns out to be one section and one reason, not five.
Every day: about 15 minutes of mixed practice, and the morning’s legal updates. For current affairs, start the 30-day revision course, which covers July to October 2026 by subject.

- Current affairs: the 30-day revision courseJuly to October 2026, arranged by subject, with a short quiz each day.
- Ten-question micro-tests by topicFree, no account: aim them at the section the mock showed up.
16 to 29 November: fix it, then test it
Two full mocks a week, each followed by its error log. Between them, work only on the leak you found: if it was reading speed in English, passages; if it was principles in Legal Reasoning, principle-and-fact sets.
Use the Sunday Sprints on 22 and 29 November (10 am to 10 pm IST) as a weekly check: one 30-minute paper that everyone sits on the same day, with a board at the end.
For current affairs, move from reading to recall: the months closest to the paper (September to November) matter most, and the legal updates by month are the place for the courts.
- Legal Updates, by monthJudgments, amendments and notifications, each from the official source with a note on how CLAT could test it.
- High-yield current affairs for the run-up to CLAT 2027The themes from September to November most likely to appear as passages.
- Full passages with answersCLAT sets five or six questions on each passage: practise the whole passage, not single questions.
30 Nov – 3 Dec 2026: the National Mock
The CLATcoach National Mock opens on 30 November and closes on 3 December: one full paper sat by students across India, with ranks released on 4 December. Sit it in the same 2 pm slot as the real paper if you can, so your body is used to the hour.
Treat it as the last full rehearsal. After this, there is no time to fix a section; the aim is to settle how many questions you attempt and the order you take the sections in.
- Register for the National MockFree, with an all-India rank.
4 and 5 December: nothing new
No new topics and no full mocks. Read your own error log, the one thing nobody else could have written for you. Skim the last week’s legal updates.
Download and print the admit card from the Consortium’s portal, check the centre address, and plan the journey to arrive early. Sleep at your normal time.
- The exam-day kitWhat to carry, what not to, and how to use the two hours.
6 December: the paper
The paper runs 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm IST (PwD candidates: 2:00 pm – 4:40 pm). Take the sections in the order you settled in the National Mock, and keep to the number of attempts you planned: negative marking (0.25 for each wrong answer) punishes guessing on passages you have not read.
- After the paper: the answer key and objectionsWhen the provisional key is expected and how objections work.
Frequently asked questions
How many mocks should I take in the last month before CLAT?
About six to eight full papers, each followed by a proper review: one in the first week to find what is costing you marks, two a week through the middle of November, and the National Mock (30 November to 3 December) as the last full rehearsal. More mocks without review add little.
When is CLAT 2027?
Sunday, 6 December 2026, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm IST (PwD candidates: 2:00 pm – 4:40 pm), as announced in the Consortium of NLUs’ press release.
Should I start new topics in the last month?
Only in the first fortnight, and only for the one section your first mock shows is costing you most. From late November, revise what you know and settle your attempt strategy instead.
Which current affairs matter most now?
The months closest to the paper, roughly September to November 2026, then the rest of the year. CLAT tests them through passages, so understanding the background of an event matters more than remembering its date.
